The use of printer-resident fonts in the card improves performance and minimizes network traffic since less data is downloaded to the printer.
Print Japanese using printer-resident fonts. Fonts contained in these cards emulate those provided in Microsoft Windows. The Windows drivers provided on the CD that ships with the printer map the Windows system fonts to these printer-resident fonts.
Contains 2 scalable fonts for use in the PCL and PostScript emulations, HG-MinchoL and HG-GothicB.
These fonts are compatible with Adobe PostScript 3 and emulate Adobe PostScript fonts.
Supports 31 common PostScript encodings.
PCL emulation supports Shift-JIS in symbol set 19K which emulates the Japanese Windows character set and Unicode in symbol set UTF8. -
